I need to write a php function in smarty template.

Used {literal} in template file is not working.  


But using normal <?php code breaks down in the frontend where there is a code =>

Guna, you should not use PHP functionality in the plugin html template. Why don't you use our standard structure to organize the file relationship. You should simply use standard smarty components which are described in PHP files. Please download our Plugin Skeleton plugin to see how to use this or that function.
