How can moderators invite new users to the site? | Forum

So I have an installation set up for a client of mine who offers membership in the Oxwall site as a perk for membership in the organization. The admins can invite users, but the moderators cannot. Do we have to make the people that need to be able to invite people admins? That seems like a rather tall escalation of powers....


Maybe alternatively, is there a way for a moderator (or even an admin, out of curiousity) to create an account for someone?

No, there's no way neither for moderators, nor admins to create an account for someone, unless they register someone manually.

Your moderators can invite users from the Dashboard page, if you install the Contact importer plugin. Even a regular user can do that. See screenshot:
