New version - still does not display the send button on Apple/safari devices.

This has been a long standing bug and needs to be resolved!

Im not speaking for the Oxwall development team here as they have their own agenda.  But as a software developer myself i can say that most developers dont worry about developing for safari at all, we just worry about IE, FF, and Chrome.  Safari users are very thin and for most of us its not time well spent.

So im not saying that Oxwall wont fix it, they very well might.  But it might be a reason that it has been such a long standing issue.

Hope that helps.

i use apple computer, ipad and iPhone and the send button displays on all my apple devices, providing the oxwall site is running 1.7 or higher version of software

Dave I'm a self employed Web developer so I understand, but safari shouldn't just be ignored.

Bobbi. I'm running 1.7. I'll get more info from the users experiencing the problem. Not having any apple devices myself it's difficult to test.

Sean, are you referring to the tablet device and desktop version issue? If so we do not support desktop version on mobile devices and tablets, we have mobile version for that purpose.

My opinion is safari needs to get more compliant. I heard of these issues as well with some themes and it is a safari bug. safari reminds me of the old version of opera and i cant figure out why any one uses it. Same feelings towards IE why would any one use Ie?

The mobile version of oxwall is not developed enough yet to properly use for my site. Once that is developed further I'll consider turning it on, but thanks for letting me know about the desktop version of the site on Apple tablets.

Out of interest, do other browsers such as chrome display the send button correctly on tablets? I don't have any apple products to test.

We have never tested it as we do not support it in the first place, you're free to do that on your own.

That wasn't aimed directly at you, more anyone else who reads this and can test it for me. As I said, I have no Apple products to test it myself.
