How do you fetch data from database | Forum

For example if someone is creating a search plugin, how will he call user info with avatar and for that matter any other info like videos, events etc.

I have a complete code for a search plugin with php, css and js files, but it was not built for oxwall. It has a .sql to create a table, but here in our oxi website, we already have a database and just have to fetch it and show to the user.

I guess it is simple, but I am not a dev so may be difficult for me. I want to try myself atleast. I want someone to provide code and also tell me where to put it.

Umair this is custom coding and should be made in that forum. However i will try to help not with code but with teaching you since you wish to try.  Take the plugin crash course here.

https://docs.oxwall.org/dev:crash-course

there is also a plugin in the store called skeleton, it is all about building a plugin with information and stuff.

hope that helps.
