We don't recommend to delete the plugin folder from your server without first deactivating the plugin:
 - you will lose all data associated with the plugin.
 - just deleting folder with the plugin is not enough. You will need to clean up the database and  some other files where this plugin's files are stored. In case you do something wrong, you will be getting even more errors on your site.

The best solution is to deactivate the plugin via the Admin Area.
Only in case you can't access the Admin Area because of the error, you may delete plugin manually via the database.

Here you may find some instructions how to delete plugin manually:

suchita jain, have you managed to fix your issue using the tips in this topic?

no tessa you do not lose anything as everthing is stored in other folders
and by do it that way removes the plugin by deactivating it properly

by delete the plugin from plugin folder lets the site and admin work again theres so many plugin in the store that on install complety stuff the site or admin
and if your admin is down then yes you have to do the hard way as u expanded

but is so easy simple
copy the offending plugin with ftp
delete the offending plugin from the plugin from the plugin folder

the site and admin will now work

go to admin plugins
before click deactivate  re upload the plugin with ftp

then click  deactivate the plugin

i have done this hundreds of time and works every time
your site is vack up and running quickly
and then u can revert the plugin back to old version of what ever u need to do no stress no pain
