I would like to know if there is a way to divide groups into 2 types or categories?
If it's not possible, is there someone who could do it for me? (I am ready to pay for it)

Thread revival :)
With so many devs now building categories into main feature plugins - Groups and Blogs plugins look and use a bit basic.
It would seem to my users, and to me - that site wide categories would prove a very good idea indeed.
