500 Error on Events Plugin | Forum

Site has been working fine until this morning when I loaded my site to see the dreaded 500 error, possible fix, debug mode from false to true, did this and did not resolve the problem, Luckily I could still log in to the admin side, and disabled each plug in, one at a time, only to find the events plugin once disabled, fixed my site and was back up and running.

If a base plugin isn't working, check your cron to see if it's finding updates.

Hi Stephanie, thanks, being pretty new to ow- checking cron for updates ? is this a box that needs to be ticked ? Where would I find this and check it ? admin ? control panel in files/folders ?
