Since I upgraded to 1.7.4, the access to the page to register an account is slower. Why? I enabled two types of accounts. personal and professional. The user select the type of account on the first page and then when he click on the continue button, the page take forever to be displayed. Why?

Only this page is slower?
Is dev mode enabled?

How many users you have on your website?
What is your hosting plan?

How many online concurrent users?

How many active users?

I have less than 50 users. I have a dedicated OS X server with 8 GB of RAM and a SSD drive. Blazing fast. Only this part is slow. I enabled dev mode.

No need to enable it if not necessary. Disable it.

I enabled it just after you talked about it. Disabled and still same.

I will need to check your server settings, for some reason the post request stalled while registration, can you pm me your admin details for the website and cpanel access details for the server, I'll take a look at the issue.

I think I found the origin of the issue. Permissions problems after replacing files. You really need to improve the update process and check permissions on files !

Can you please elaborate? What was the exact problem with the permissions?

I do not remember the error exactly but after enabling debug mode, I saw many permissions reading error for plugins and classes. I updated manually the core and plugin to version 1.7.1.

Seems that the default permissions on your files is not right.

The permissions the files and folder have by default are not set by the software, they are set by your server. Check this please: https://www.google.com/...;espv=2&ie=UTF-8

A good PHP script should check permissions after an update ;-)
