I turned mine off and use the following to cron path,
/usr/bin/php -q /home/krunch/public_html/ow_cron/run.php
mail works perfect now.

yes iv got it running on non smtp
im still try work out if is oxwall on the new cpanel update 

I had to change to this cron also, and turn SMTP off. I sent emails about 5 days after upgrading to 1.7.4, and they went out, but that was the last time it worked. I am on Arvixe hosting, and wonder if they changed something. I may never know.

i thinks its a combo of both oxwall update and cpanel whm update

Does the mail leave ow_base_mail table?

yes it leaves the tables but does not get to the mail sever with smtp 
even when test smtp say is fine to use the connection 

what smtp you're using, the hosting's?

yes my server 
thunderbird connects smtp fine receives and send mail from my server

yes i have test gmail  and others all say connection is fine but none send mail 

as soon as i updated to 1,7.4 mail stopped sending by smtp

can you tell me where the smtp connection stuff is so i can look see if it changed 
if its not changed then i could be the whm firewall update 
as it updated the day after i updated to 1.7.4 
but it not work gmail and others i dont know i just need somewhere to start looking for the problem

i have other scripts that are still send mail smtp fine from my server
and dmail etc works on them fine no problem 

thunderbird and outlook both connect my mail smtp fine no problems 

there has to be something in how oxwall hooks to smtp that updated firewall just dont like
i will test it  

i found the problem 
mt server ip addy were be blocked by whm brute force

i can not enplane how they got in there 
maybe while the server was updating my sites were try send mail 
and they failed  and got blocked 

the server ip s should be auto whitelisted 

i have emailed hosting asking how this could of happened and as to what can be done to stop it happen again
