Hi. I'm not interested in updationg to 1.7.5 yet (I'm on 1.7.4) because I did a lot of  customization on my site and I don't want to do it all over again and the site is working fine anyway. I am just interested in updating the "Messages" plugin because it had a bug with the attachments (showing multiple times)

Was THIS BUG fixed anyway?

My question is, can I update the messages plugin on 1.7.4?

No, you need to update platform first, which is why we request to implement all the changes as plugins or remember the changes you did and apply them again.

The platform should be updated first, because the plugin can use some method or class which is presented in the updated core, which is why it can malfunction or do not work at all
