Hi there again,
I found out how to make it go back to the splash page on logout, it's easy!
Her's how just in case you get the same question again!
Login to your Admin Dashboard > Privacy & Permissions > Global Privacy.
In there there is an option "Guests can view the site", select "No" and hey presto! It's as easy as that.
