It would be good if we can turn off the usage of flash (for notification sound I think). I would rather not have sound than a flash warning in my user's pages.

Bernd, each user on the site can decide whether they want to have the sound enabled or not. As far as we've understood you want to remove the sound and option to turn on/off the sound. If so, it requires the code modification.
If you want us to add a configuration with will allow you to enable/disable sound for all users, you can suggest it at our suggestion board: http://oxwall.uservoice.com/forums/13756-ideas-for-oxwall. If the majority of webmasters support it - we will consider adding it in one of the future update.

I dont mind the sound if it is on or off, but the (for the user unexplained) security warnings of flash made me modify the template to remote the swf. I can post that idea, thanks.
