Hello all,

Is there any way to alter the font, size or alignment of the text that can be entered into the welcome box. I know how to change the text but that is all that can be done.

Many Thanks

hey Alan,

You can edit the way things look and feel in a theme by going to /ow_themes/yourtheme
and edit the CSS file.

You can also edit a few things in the Admin/Edit Theme CSS tab but the man core is in the /ow_themes/ folder

FYI: This place has helped me a lot! http://www.w3schools.com/

Thanks Wilson,

I have just done it mate..

If you alter the CSS file you mention, does that not revert back to the original once the theme gets an update?

Alan, you are right. when you update your site - all the changes you've made in core files will be lost. The best way is to edit CSS via Admin Area>Appearance>Edit Theme>CSS tab. But nevertheless you should remember that your custom CSS may stop working after update and you will need to edit it.
I could suggest you to use the browser tool - Inspect Element. Right-click to what you want to change on the page in your browser (Chrome and Firefox have Inspect Element). Then Inspect Element panel will open and allow you to make changes to the "Live" page as you are viewing it. And after you will finished all your experiments with the CSS changes you may apply them via CSS tab in Admin Area.
Or another way you may add the <style> </style> block directly to the Welcome widget's Content field.
