I know Oxwall doesn't support this function right now, but why it's not developing? Repost is useful when you want to share something, and I believe Oxwall was built for sharing. What if I want to share a post that already exist? This is why Facebook or Twitter has a repost button.

I hope Oxwall will support this function soon.

Frank, thank you for this idea. It would be better if you make a suggestion on uservoice: http://oxwall.uservoice.com/forums/13756-ideas-for-oxwall. And post a link here that people could vote for it.

Taissa, Sorry, but I have to say this:

If you do a search on share on uservoice (which is the same like the repost function as described by the topic starter), more than 40 suggestions for share/repost are found.. so what is actually the added value to create another same suggestion more?

Concerning the current suggestions:
Isn't it time to moderate the suggestions, merge and delete the duplicated entries and forward users to the right suggestion topic.. because at this moment the user suggestions seems like a mess in my opinion and really new ideas doesn't have a chance at all...

If you count every vote for each different share/repost suggestion, then it will be not far from the first position..(so what's reasonable?)

Ketkew, your feedback and suggestions are very important to our team, but understandably it's quite difficult to process every single individual suggestion. This means that an answer should not be expected for every idea posted.
That is why we have our suggest board. This is one of the ways for developers and our product designer team to learn what essential features the community needs. I want to stress that this board is designed specifically to give ideas and inspiration not only to our team at Oxwall Foundation, but the entire Oxwall Community, with its army of third-party developers. Besides that we moderate suggestions to avoid duplication but because of the limited human resources it happens not as often as we would like.
Moreover we have a public repository where you are always welcome to implement new features and commit changes with working solution: https://bitbucket.org/oxwall/public.

Or

so, not always!

Uservoice sucks. Listen to the users, it might prove a benefit :)

And that is what I mean (ok this for the OW store, but the point is clear), currently there is no consistent way of how this is managed.. but maybe it's better to start a new topic about this..
