Hello guys,

I uploaded an iframe code from youtube onto my user page and now I can't access my customizing page, is there a way I can remove the embed code as a site admin?

Thanks

you can try disable javascript which is what i had to do (when i added a vimeo code but removed the link to my vimeo account)

if you do it it will put every widget in your profile in your available widgets and you will have to drag tem all back again but you should be able to remove the widget you want to remove

it can be done server side i will search out the post which tells you how to do it

I've disabled javascript but I can't click "finish customizing"

As for a link to the forum you're about to suggest I've seen it and I have no clue how to do it via the cpanel :/

can you edit  the widgets in your available widgets until you find it when i did this i had to open a few but was able to remove it once i found it, enabled javascript put the widgets back and all was fine

but for me disable javascript, edit each widget until i found the bad one did the trick

here is that post it may help http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/25618?page=1#post-113773

I can't do any of that, the only button I can click is disable javascript which doesn't solve the problem or enable me to edit any widgets!

I know which widget it is and can't edit it!

Rebecca, first of all what exactly did you delete via CPanel?

To delete the iframe you used you need to delete the content of the html widget, go to you phpmyadmin - > find ow_base_component_setting table and find your widget by doing search in this table.

Click on search in the toolbar at the top of the page - then enter the keyword(like "iframe") in the "value" search field and choose LIKE %...% in the drop down option for the "OPerator"

Then remove the content of the HTML widget, after that I believe you'll be able to remove the widget from the user-end.

Keep us updated.

Hey Ross, I deleted the youtube embed tab in ow_base_component_entity_setting and that did nothing to remove the widget at all. I've also just tried your option to no avail, apparently it doesn't exist.

It won't remove the widget, those steps remove the content of the widget(in your case it is iframe) now you should be able to remove the widget from the user-end

Have you found your widget the iframe content?
Did you delete just the content?

Provide the search results screenshot within the ow_base_component_setting table

I just clicked on the one tab in the section which was the youtube link, I literally ticked it and pressed delete at the bottom and I'm still unable to remove it from the user end.

Rebecca, I will need your server and admin access details to fix the issue, please PM me your phpmyadmin access details and admin access details, I'll take a look at the issue.

The issue has been fixed by clearing ow_base_component_place_cache table
