I know this cannot be true. I know my site and traffic trends. I know there is not 280 members currently online right now.
Any ideas what could be causing my site to show way more members online than there actually is?

Members Showing As Online, But They're Not Online[Solved] | Forum

For the past 2 years, there has never been more than 50 members showing as online at any given time. But since updating to 1.7.5, the number of members showing online has instantly risen to over 250, and it keeps rising every day.

UPDATE [resolved]:
I figured out the problem. I use a webcron to run my cron. Had a server problem a couple days ago, and consequently my server was completely down for about 24 hours. After multiple failed cron runs, the webcron switched off automatically. After switching my crons back to active, everything working fine (of course).
