Updating without FTP server? | Forum

I decided to give Oxwall a try on a server over which I have full control. When administrating the server, I do it via SSH with file transfers happening using SFTP/SCP.

Is there a way of using the update wizard without using plain FTP?

I want to avoid having to enable and configure FTP but on cursory inspection it seems it's the only way to update modules through the interface.

Alternatively, would it be possible to have it bundle up the changed files into a tbz or tgz or zip, providing a unique one-time link I could perhaps wget on the server? Or where a webscript is restricted such that it may only write to its own files etc. (eg. writable without encouraging 0777 perms) perhaps it could just write the files direct?
