The Like Me plugin will not work when you have

Allow users to customize this page

Enabled on user profiles.

I would like a way to make this work with it. I have tested it on my test site with the same results.

This is why it disappears for people. When I re install it I notice the only change is it disables the Allow users to customize this page option.

When I re enable the Customize option the Like Me Button and Widget disappears.
