Cocobey, as far as I understand you, for this goals you may use Friends and Privacy plugins. The Privacy plugin settings allow users to manage privacy using three options:
- Everybody,
- My friends,
- Only me.
So if user apply setting "My friends", only friends will see this user's profile.
I don't think this is what Cocobey is talking about.
The current 'block' as coded only prevents users from interacting. This doesn't really cut it when building a community site and can lead to actually more harassment from users.
I think the common set of expectations from a user is that if they use the block function on another user:
1. That user can no longer message them. (Yay. You have that implimented.)
2. That user can no longer see posts/content of the blocked user. (NOT IMPLIMENTED)
3. The blocked user can longer see posts/content of the user. (NOT IMPLIMENTED)
The block functionality, as implemented, now points out to the blocked user that they've actually been blocked. Both sides can still see each other, and so passive-aggressive and even leading to more aggressive actions from either party.
Would be great if you raise this suggestion and vote for it at http://oxwall.uservoice.com/ .It'd be great if I could just throw an extra 50 their way and get some sort of feedback that they're actually improving it come next version.
Thanks in advance.
