fbconnect only working on some sites | Forum

Rev. Curt Guldenschuh
I have Oxwall loaded on my localhost as well as one of my websites.  The fbconnect plugin works on my localhost but does not work on my website.  The only difference is that the localhost installation is in the root and the website installation is in a subdirectory.  What should I be checking for?  Will the plugin work if installed in a subdirectory?

Please provide screenshot of the FB app settings for your subdomain?
Rev. Curt Guldenschuh
Does it matter that both the website and localhost have SSL?  When I can get the fbconnect to work once I click to login many times it will take me to a 404 page and still not log me in.

Yes, it matters the website url you indicated in the FB app settings also should be https

Le't try to disable https on your website by changing home URI in the config.php file and change the settings in the FB app, I think it has something to do with the 443 port. Keep me updated.

How would that make any difference?  My localhost is set up with SSL as well and the facebook connect worked there.  The only difference was that localhost had the installation in the root and my website has the installation in a subdirectory.

Does localhost also have 443 port?
Rev. Curt Guldenschuh
Yes.  They both do.  The only difference is that the installation on localhost is in the root and the installation on the website is in a subdirectory.

Please enable fb connect on https://cegsdesk.byethost18.com/cegwall/

and put https://cegsdesk.byethost18.com/cegwall/ in the fb app settings in the site url.

Also, please create new app don't edit old one. When you do that please let me know, I'll check the issue on your live website.

Rev. Curt Guldenschuh
I created a new app just the other night.  I'll tend to these edits in just a bit.  Thanks.
