Issue After Server Upgrade | Forum

I upgraded my server today. I had Bluehost's Pro Shared Hosting plan and upgraded to Cloud. Since then, I've had several issues. Initially, I thought it was due to the PHP version of my new server being 5.2, but even after upgrading to 5.4, I still had issues. The issues were as follows:

- Regular members can access the admin panel.

- When I load different pages, I'm logged in as another user account (accounts I shouldn't have access to).

- Any new information (forum post, comment, photo, etc.) appears to be successfully submitted but on refresh, isn't there anymore.

Among other issues. I called Bluehost and although they admitted that upgrading the server likely caused the issue, they said they could not help and I needed to contact Oxwall developers. So after apparently paying Bluehost to break my site for me as they upgraded my server, my best hope for resolution is a team that works for free. The irony isn't lost on me here and it's left me incredibly frustrated.

I'll PM site credentials as needed. Help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Musik, I can't reproduce any of the issues  you described on your website

All posts and comments I made are there and I don't have access to admin panel I visited different pages and I stay the same user(myself)

Do you have any caching plugins installed on your website or your server, if so, then purge the cache, clear browser cache and try again.

Ross, thanks. When I first posted this thread, things were very screwy. Things seem better at the moment. I can't tell if it's because Bluehost changed something (I was on the phone up until twenty minutes ago) or something else happened. I'll clear the cache now.

Maybe related: They disabled my URL redirect before you responded to set up an "under construction" page. The next step is to re-set up my URL redirect but given recent issues I've had, I'm terrified to touch anything. Aside from DNS Zone changes, is there an Oxwall-specific step I missed with pointing my domain at my subdirectory?

When you say URL redirect do you mean alias? If so then it has nothing to do with the issue you had.

As to the pointing domain to subdirectory - there's also nothing you can do from the Oxwall side.

Ross, thanks! In that case, I think we're OK. I'm going to keep an eye on things and leave it as it is for now. I really appreciate you jumping into this.
