I have installed Oxwall 1.8 from scratch. I receive a verification email when I join, but the contact page does not work nor any email notifications. I have checked my cron job (wget -q -O /dev/null http://www.specialtrustedfriends.com/ow_cron/run.php) and I have tried it with both PHP mail and SMTP. Any ideas?

Did You check SMTP settings in Admin panel? There is a test button. Also install cron test plugin and check Cron Job. Check SPAM folder ion Your mailbox.

connect smtp to your server with thunderbird make shore u can send receive mail
if u cant is mail sever problem
if you can get hosting check if your server ip is in blocked list from sending mail
