Could be a conflict with seo plugin as well, seems to work with wall gone or seo plugin turned off, where neither are an option for my site.

I updated this plugin and now it no longer works with the shoutwall on site. Can't enter a status update....

What do you mean by shoutwall? Is this a 3rd party plugin? Or default wall widget?
Please do the testing without any 3rd party plugins enabled and on the default theme. Keep us udpated.
