[SOLVED] How does a member leave? | Forum

As much as nobody wants a member to feel as though they wish to leave, they should always have the option open to them. I have therefore searched GeekZone high and low, but can't find a "Leave" or "Close Account" button.

Where is it?

To conform to UK law, we would need to hold the following information about that member for 5 years.

- Real Name

- Date of Birth

- Postal Address

- Date of Joining

- Date of Leaving

Does the "leave" button delete the account or does it leave this information intact?

Thanks!

James

the delete account button is found when the user edits their profile, when a user deletes thier profile it removes everything from the site nothing will remain, i dont know if any data remains serverside though as i have never looked .........

server data gets permanently deleted and can not be restored UNLESS you back your DB and source code daily.

WOW. That's pretty poor. How are people supposed to conform to the laws of the land?

Also, I still can't find the delete account button on Geek.Zone
