After server migration for some reason no photos are uploading correctly. I've tried disabling Amazon S3 with no luck. After enabling debug mode I get the error "PARSEERROR: LAYOUT.PNG" when using plugin photo and "BASE+UPLOAD_AVATAR_FAILD" when uploading avatars.

I usually have some sort of idea of what to do, but I'm clueless right now.

Sean please make sure the access to the userfiles folder which is on Amazon is public, there should be some option to do that.

Sean, the issue is solved, it was caused by the 755 permissions on ow_userfiles, ow_static, ow_smarty/template_c folders

The permissions should be 777 and be set recursively.

Please check.

>>>and "BASE+UPLOAD_AVATAR_FAILD" when uploading avatars.

in addition to 777 permissions make sure  that you have /tmp directory within  ow_userfiles/plugins/base/avatars
