Hmmm oxwall has no seo and is so slow its almost inposable to get a oxwall powered site to rank 4 anything 

Because of the bad db calls and shear amount of db calls you need a dam good sever to run oxwall with not many users

Yes it seams faster but get few ppl online at one time n watch ur db crash

We cant even get a simple thing like photo description set to required so images have alt tages

My site (1.8) seems to be running quite well. I've tested it with influx's of traffic to make sure things don't crash like discussed, and alas it worked out fine. 

Best decision I made with Oxwall is finding a php/javascript dev on freelancer . com to work on hourly basis and give them things to fix/add each week. Oxwall is a bit buggy and the plug ins quality is lacking, but with your own knowledge or paying someone else to fix it is an easy and MUCH cheaper way than building something similar from scratch or using dolphin and paying shit-tonnes more to get it to look as good. 

Like everything else around here, its still in development and needs improving. :) 

Success
If you want to be successful, you have to make it happen. You can't grab just Oxwall, Wordpress, PHPFox, etc., throw it online and think the software will do it for you. Most of the Oxwall demographic is, from how I've seen it, enthusiasts and amateur web devs/programmers looking for something to mess with. It hasn't been advertised to be a success maker for businesses, and part of the reason for that is because our community leans a bit more on the toxic side.

Speed
As I keep trying to share, the speed of one's website will depend on many factors. It's kind hard (if not impossible) to blame Oxwall for being slow. The way you test this is with a pure, clean install of the latest Oxwall on several different servers. I'd say a Shared, a Shared VPS, and maybe your own scaled Server setups. But even then, the results can't be concrete because the response time would be based on the servers being used, the location, the data stored, and the user's latency.

Integrity of equipment and cables is one of the most important things you learn when you study Networking. Machines have to talk together, and they do that over ISP networks. That's where speed get's altered, because you will pick up latency, interruptions, etc. Oxwall isn't "slow," but rather people are underestimated the type of server specs they need to run a Oxwall install that will hold a large amount of people.

If you're on any kind of shared hosting, of course Oxwall isn't going to load as fast as Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Needless to say, speed tests are also not the best to go off on because top-rated, multi-billion dollar webservices are, of course, going to have the fastest speeds. These companies set up entire warehouses of high-grade servers to manage their services. There's a reason your visit to google.com is immensely faster than myoxwallsiteonsharedhosting.net.
