Not sure if I am missing something here regarding configuring of Rackspace cloud Files.  The second step in configuring cloud files, says to "Copy the ow_userfiles folder to the container you've created".  But I don't see any way I can upload/copy ow_userfiles folder on rackspace cloud files.  I can't even create the directory structure manually.  Can someone advise?  Additionally, even if skipping step two, the images are still looking for the directory structure on rackspace cloud files.

I guess the Rackspace support team might be able to help you on this.

I wonder if there is a way for those of us with root access or maybe even regular access to directly transfer from our server to the cloud this would make things easier I am told there is a way but everyone says they will have to look into it

I am not sure about Rackspace. But with Amazon AMI , you get all the access to root, SSH and what else.

for Amazon cloud, there is an excellent S3 Firefox plugin to work with your buckets. I personally use this.

I am using amazon and want to take files and send them to the cloud without downloading them to my computer
Purusothaman Ramanujam
You mean to an Amazon S3 bucket or to a complete amazon LAMP image instance?

Hope you are aware that there is a difference between these 2.

If you just want to store the ow_userfiles in the Amozon cloud, install S3 Organizer plugin in Firefox. Follow the steps mentioned. After that you can sync up your local folder with your amazon bucket. No download/uploads.

Did you tried removing the "{" and "}" in the config file?

The doc does not specify whether the brackets needs to be present.
