This is the message that I am getting when we try to connect with facebook connect.


"Seems there are some problems with connection to Facebook. Please, try again later."


Here is my facebook settings page top and bottom.


I have deleted and remade the app 3 times because of this error and as you can barely make it out it say's it is live.


I do try to fix things myself I hate to bug people for help.

Steve, I see you added facebook canvas in the app settings, you need to add Website

I did if you take a look at the settingbottom.jpg pic you will see the website is entered.


I just redid the app and after I entered the website just like you said I went to Status and review page and activated it. Then I went back to the settings page and found that it added the Facebook Canvas. But if you look at the bottom of the page it shows the website.

There should be only Website, remove Facebook Canvas

Facebook App:


Dashboard: Copy your App ID and Secret Key to the plugin settings page in your Oxwall site.


Settings: Under Basic Settings, make sure Display Name, App Domain, Contact Email, and Website Site URL are filled out. Site URL should end with /. Example: http://www.yoursite.com/


Status & Review: Select "Yes" to make the app and its features live.


That's all that needs to be filled out and used to connect with Facebook from my recollection. Facebook Canvas will be used for the Contact Importer plugin, which can be within the same app you set up for Facebook Connect.

Thank you very much for your response...I have checked all of that and it is all correct and it say's it is live but I still get the same red box with this statement in it.

Steve, have you removed the facebook canvas from the app settings? do you have only website now? can you please provide screenshot of the app settings? 

Also can you please tell me what your FB connect plugin version? Go to plugin folder, there's a plugin.xml file, copy the build line here.

Okay I removed the canvas but I am still getting the same results.


A red box with this in it.

The build line say's this:   <build>9900</build>

 Here is the new settings for the app...I am curious I noticed in the xml file the developerKey is not my app id or app secret

If, so, please clear your browser cache, I just successfully logged in with FB connect. See screenshot

Yes...that is my websites address 


Try it out you will see I just turned fbconnect on

yes, everything is working just logged in again via FB connect

That is weird you logged into it using fbconnect but my daughter still can't

Let her clear the browser cache, try another browser, reset her PC

May sound stupid but I can not find where to clear the cache in windows 7 or chrome.


I can do it in xp, vista or windows 2003
