While logged in using two different accounts, Admin and general user I cannot see either person logged in under the small private chat.  T does not show any users.  If I do a search in the small search bar it does not show any result for the user.

Do I have something configured incorrectly?

I should be able to see users online in the "chat" list shouldn't I?

At the top of the small chat window it states Chat"0", while I am logged in as Admin and also logged in using another system as a general user.

Any advice on correctly this issue?

Try becoming friends with your demo account. They should then show. I may be wrong, but I don't think it shows all online users. I have arrowchat on my live site.

I'll also try this.

However I've just encountered a bigger issue.

I received notice for 3 plugin updates... so I allowed one to update.  But after setting the FTP settings and it downloaded the update suddenly the screen changed and I cannot get to the Admin Dashboard now.

Is there a resolve for this type of situation?  I have no idea what has occurred.

That will be one for Ross. It may be Monday before he can answer. Post that issue in the bug reports, and troubleshooting section. They will most likely ask you to go to cpanel, and set debug to true, and see what the error message is. also let them know what plugin it was be as detailed as you can. It may be a conflict.

ok... for the time being I have logged into my FTP and I am overwriting the files that had been changed with the update of the theme.  I'll see if that corrects the issue at all.  Once I have that overwritten I can see if I can log in again and try the privacy settings.

If not... then it will have to wait until Monday to get corrected with Ross.  :)
I appreciate the help.

John, after clicking the update button of the plugins, you say you see screen changed, please provide screenshot of your issue.

John, also, very important, one request per topic, otherwise you won't get assistance to your multiple request in one post and it will be easier for other community member to search for the solutions to their problems.

As to the chat, you need to become friends with that general user or at lease have one conversation with him/her via PM, after that he will appear in the chat.

Hi Ross... unfortunately I did not take a screen shot of the issues, but I'll note that should it ever happen again.

Essentially what happened was this.  While I was in the Admin dashboard I noticed the alert for updates in the top left.  I selected updates for the themes and it began to download or update the themes.  After a minute or so during upload there was a screen changed and the admin dashboard page was no longer there or accessible.  I could view the member page but not the admin dashboard .

I ended up removing the software and reinstalling it to fix the issue... however I have the prompt for updates again in the Admin dashboard. I'm reluctant to try to update the plugins or the themes that say there are updates now.  It did and and again states updates from 9900 to 9950.

I would assume updating should be a simple process with this.  Everything seems very well written and works quite well. A minor hiccup here and there for me learning to set the items I would like to try, but other than that I am more than pleased with the Oxwall teams work.

Try to update again, if you still see the same issue, please pm me your admin website access details and FTP access details, I'll take a look at the issue.
