I am able to create just 6 categories as per my wish. After that all the categories are named as test1, test2 and etc..

I use platform version 1.2.6 . It were Test-like ones,but after renaming them[perhapse delete,i dont remember well], i was able to create more categories.
Perhapse it will be helpful to you the information.try and see how it goes after renaming
