Amazon Image upload problem and 500 error on customize "Main page" | Forum

Im having two issues here. I set up amazon s3 and now I cant upload any images, everytime I try its stuck in crop image, its in a loop. and when I cancel out of it has a blank thumnail and the newsfeed says "admin" uploaded a new image. Strange, seems something wasnt set up correctly.

Second issue im having is when i click on "Cutomize this page" on the "main index page" oit brings me to a 500 error. - Here is my error log:

According to the error logs, you have not indicated the right AWS key ID, please check it

as to the customize this page, please enable debug mode and click on customize this page button again to get the actual error, provide the error here so we could assist you.

For the access key, I created a new one from IAM Managment as a user, that didnt work as well, i am still having upload errors, same issue. Maybe its my settings in the oxwall admin?

What is the exact upload errors you get?

Do you have advertisement plugin installed on your website? Is it enabled?

I installed an ad plugin but i deleted it, quite possible its still on my server without me even realizing it. I dont get error uploads, as an example I try to add a profile picture, it goes to the cropping section and it just keeps going. But when i disable S3 images upload

Ads plugin - how did you delete it? Manually or via admin panel?

Agreed, admin panel, and my FTP isnt connected, seems there are issues with that as I searched on the board. I looked in my server files I cant find any ad plugin, anything you can come up with here?

as far as I understood, you deleted only the plugin folder from ow_plugins

now you need to do to you database via phpmyadmin->go to ow_base_plugins table->locate advertisement plugin there-> delete the row

then you need to delete the advertisement component from the widget tables in order to do that you need to search for these words: ADS_CMP_SidebarAds' in your database, you should come up with something like the screenshot -> click on the browser button for these tables:

ow_base_componentow_base_component_placeow_base_component_place_cacheow_base_component_position
and delete this component: ADS_CMP_SidebarAds form these tables as well, this should fix the customize this page issue.

I cant believe I forgot about phpmyadmin hah...Under ow_base_plugins there was no ad plugin,but under the component tables there was I deleted those but i am still getting the same error saying

Class ADS_CMP_SidebarAds does not exist

then search for the ADS_CMP_SidebarAds again, there are leftovers somewhere and then follow the instructions.

Don't forget to clear ow_base_component_cache completely.

Great, now regarding amazon issue.

Before you start to upload avatar open your browser console, press F12, then select console tab in the browser console and upload avatar -> do you get any kind of red errors there? if so, please provide screenshot

Make sure on your server

ow_pluginfiles

ow_smarty/template_c

ow_userfiles

ow_static folder have 777 permissions and they are set recursively.

Make sure the bucket and folder on amazon have public access.
