The Dev that makes the comment editor plug in and the smiley plug in seems to of abandoned all of his plug ins, there is no support, use his plug ins at your own risk, they have not been updated since 1.7.2

You could always edit them in the SQL database, it's too bad oxwall doesn't allow editing by default.

Oxwall will not include anything in the core if a plug in exists for it, even if the dev has seemingly abandoned his plug ins, comment editing, smileys etc should be part of the core as it is a wanted feature and something that is a core feature on other softwares

Any chance for adding comment editing as basic functionality?
At best it will be with disableable option «edit comments only for XX hours after posting»

I like this idea, Oxwall devs should take this into consideration. It could also be done by permission set, so that for example paid users can edit their own comments while free users are unable to.

Sean и bobbi, You're right!It's certainly not convenient but its one of your few options when it comes to editing comments. If you run into any other issues and need workarounds feel free to contact me.

You will need to do that on your own or hire a programmer. As to adding it to the basic functionality, you may post suggestion on uservoice here: http://oxwall.uservoice.com/forums/13756-ideas-for-oxwall if it gets enough voices, we'll consider doing that.
