if the user does not put a description on a image it has no alt tags 
just simple usernames photo

same for newsfeed photos 

well every photos every dam image on oxwall sites have no alt tags and is very bad for seo 

its one of google pet hates no alt tags
as blind people with screen reader get lost with no alt tags on images 
and google hates it and penalises you so bad for have images with no alt tags

theres plenty of free scripts that scan the whole site" - the script supports only Oxwall platform and official plugins from Oxwall, I also added several third party items. If you need some other plugin support please let me know, I'll try to add them. The plugin had dynamic crawler script in the plugin up to version 1.4, but it was very inefficient solution (had multiple issues on shared hostings due to very high resource utilization). You should keep in mind that plugins are developed not only for your site, developers have to compromise in order to satisfy many limitations.

It's impossible for seo plugin to generate adequate alt description for all images on the site. It should be done by all plugin developers. If you have any ideas or strategy how to implement it please contact me, I promise to consider it.

I see you are very concerned about that issues, but I can't resolve all of them in my plugin. You should report them in appropriate forum topics.

Could you please be more specific - we discussed here many issues concerning SEO plugin and Oxwall platform in general. What issues you are facing at your site?

developers have to compromise in order to satisfy many limitations
true but when the limitations make the plugins useless then the dev has to say sorry to the 

people on shared hosting and that they can not compromise the working of a plugin or make the plugin go against webmasters guild lines 

a developer should never compromise there script or there reputation
to satisfy anyone that want something to work against there  reputation or any webmaster guidelines 

 

a simple solution

site maps have a button in admin 

share hosting      or dedicated/vps  hosting
shared the plugin runs as it is  

 dedicated/vps  it uses a proper full site sitemap generator
that should be run on its own cron
as the oxwall cron is so bloated its almost does not work
 

alt tags yes some the dev of plugins i have contacted are fixing the alt tags in there plugins
some are not but that not ur concern or anything to do with seo plugin

but the seo plugin should fix all the default oxwall and oxwall plugins 
that do not have any alt tags on images 

i understand it takes time

yes this is a huge seo problem as big as no alt tags
google hats broken links and broken images

next update fix alt tags on core images " - yes it takes time, but you didn't get the main problem - it's very complicated to interfere and maintain the source of other plugins (including platform). You should understand that I can't fix it right in the code of photos, newsfeed, etc.

We can see several img tags without alt attribute:

I don't know which plugin adds them, and I should generate alt description for them. Where can I get that description, SEO plugin sees the same HTML code so how you offer to fix that problem?

Concerning sitemaps - the strategy I use for sitemap generation is the most optimal and I'm not going back to real crawler (it has very complicated code, which is very expensive to maintain). If you want me to add some pages, please send me your requests via PM.

I would be very impressed if this could correct alt image tags. I imagine all you would need to do is grab page description and fill in the blanks or have a spot in the admin panel where you can add your own default alt tags.

I would make it null if the page has a description and if it doesn't then use default text
