Hi,

I have installed the Facebook Connect Pluggin .

When I click on connect botton ,I expect a facebook page popup ,but nothing happens ,I researched and created php.ini file with allow_url_fopen is on ,but nothing happens , http://www.meetupauthors.com/


Geeks/Techies please help me out .

You need to have a ssl site (https). the secure canvas page, etc that FB asks you for is referring to a ssl supported page that its connected to.

Ankur did you go to Facebook and get a App ID and a App Secret?


If not go to your Facebook page and scroll down and on the left side in the menu you will see DEVELOPER and just below that you will see Manage Apps...Click on that and follow the instructions.

wont make any difference if your site isn't SSL

ya sir i have Id as well as secret. I think phil is saying correct .I should configure  secure canvas .

https is not needed for fb connect

I had the same problem when I was using xampp to run the server and ross was going to help me out but I didn't have cpanel so he couldn't help me...But I found a free program like cpanel called zpanel and after I installed it and did away with xampp and got everything configured it everything started working like it should.

my site is hosted in godaddy , in linux server.
