Chat slow? | Forum

Why code text input in site.com/messages feels so slow?

I mean when you chat with someone you can also access that chat here: site.com/messages but man inputting text there is super sluggish and slow why?

It has to be a JQuery or JavaScript bug.

I mean when you chat with someone though a popup chat you can also access that chat or continue chatting by going to site.com/messages

There on the left side click on the message and then on the left side at the bottom start inputting text. I have notices that whenever it's a chat inputting text feels slow.

Try typing an then removing feels really slow.

It has to be a chat message.

the site URL is http://www.amigote.com

Try to engage with someone in pop up chat send a message.
Then go to http://www.amigote.com/messages locate the chat
Now go to the bottom of the page and try to input some text you will that you type something but it takes time to show it's like retarded :)

Thanks Ross.

No this is a oxwall problem more noticeable in firefox

I don't know what it does or how it does it but if you have 2 tabs open it Facebook and oxwall after some time of chat on both sites both become slow input text

Delete Facebook tab and restart it does not help

Delete or wall tab and restart it then both site text inputs work fine

Then after a hour or so both slow down again to the point of have to wait 3 minutes for the words you already typed to appear

Delete oxwall tab and reopen it and back to all good

Maybe it fills some temp directory in firefox

I am using Firefox and I can't input any message case I type text but the text doesn't show right away takes like 5 seconds+ to start showing the text I just wrote.

Tested on Chrome works OK it just on Firefox which happens to be the most popular. I noticed that removing autoside function that adds the style="height:42px;" takes care of the issue but it the problem form won't submit.

How to fix this damn slow text input.

The pop up works OK it just chat in /messages
