When B like or comment to a msg post by A, such as a photo. After that, refresh the page, the avatar(A) on the left side become avatar of B.

We may say different issue.
The problem what I met is:
1. B post a photo in newsfeed, B's avatar should show at left of his message(photo).
2. If A make a like for the post of B, the avatar at left become the avatar of A.
3. If C comment this post, the avatar at left become the avatar of C from A.
4. If D comment this post, the avatar at left become the avatar of D from C.
5. .........................

Anyway ... I also had this problem with avatars some time ago. No clue how I solved it.

Tammy tole me how to fix it by code change.
I have taken the trouble to make some screenshots. After updating of the browser window, the Avatar has changed. But notice that the text has changed next to the avatar. While it is confusing, as one might imagine the video now belong user Wasp. Text next to the Avatar is clearly -
This can be like or not. ;) Anyway ... I do not use the news feed, because it makes the page look cluttered.
I hope that this explanation and the Screenshots can contribute to an "light bulb moment" Aha ;)))
