Hi

I am conducting some research on behalf of a client to find tools that will help build a solution for them. Oxwall seems to fit but I wanted to make sure by posting on here:

So the requirements are:

- An online community where individuals register and create private accounts. These will be called agents.

- These agents upload content including pictures / videos / blogs etc to their accounts.

- The public accesses the web site and searches for products they are interested in using predefined categories. These shall be called prospects. They will also register and create their own accounts.

- They are presented with a results list for their search which consists of viewing access to the private accounts set up by the agents. The public can then see the content published on each account.

- If the prospect likes a particular item they can purchase and download the content. They will pay for this using Paypal and perhaps other online payment systems. The money is collected by the web site and a commission is paid to the agent.

This is the core requirement but nice to haves would be:

- Online forums

- News feeds - industry news etc updated in real time.

Can Oxwall handle this?

Thanks

Hello Patrick

What do you mean by private accounts?

There's no option to sell products or create products pages in the default software, you probably going to need a plugin for that.

3 and 4 points of your request are also not available in the default software.you will need to buy a plugin in order to do that or develop one on your own(hire a programmer to do that)

Hi

Thanks for replying.

What I mean by private accounts is where individuals create the accounts for themselves and can post media to these accounts that the public can see an purchase. These individuals would have full editing rights and everyone else can view. I assume this is fine as I guess its  one of the reasons for the system in the first place as a social media platform.

I have no problem purchasing plugins. I will certainly need a paypal plugin which I have seen is available.

My biggest issue is the downloading of content after it is purchased and to ensure that no one else can download it unless they pay for it. No sure what to use there.

At this stage I want to know if Oxwall plus plugins that I can purchase will do the job.

Thanks

You can try shop plugins: http://www.oxwall.org/store/search/plugin?q=shop

However contact plugin devs first to make sure they work as you need it.

Yes, you'll need Paypal to process payments on your website.

As to the private accounts, I believe this is also the part of the plugin functionality which you need to obtain or develop from scratch.
