SMTP connection failed | Forum

I seem to be having an issue connecting my SMTP via the admin panel.

I've just spent the last hour or so on chat with Bluehost who couldn't figure out why it wasn't accepting the info we put in there. Regardless, it kept coming up with SMTP Connection Failed when we clicked Test Connection.
I'm on Bluehost VPS. Trying to set SMTP up on SSL Security.

Would really appreciate some guidance with this. =]

Please try your SMTP access details on our demo and see if you get the same error.

Seems to work on the demo site.

No idea why it isn't working on mine.

Any ideas or suggestions? :)

Are you using your hosting's smtp?
