Softaculouse is issuing old versions of Oxwall on the script software service on cpanel. This of course causes problems with upgrading plugins if the oxwall version is two versions back. Suc put on the version h is it now as they are still only loading 1,8.0 on cpanel.

Plugins upgrades are all now for 1,8,3

Yes I know I can the latest version manually but that defeats the purpose of these cpanel loads.

What I am after is a confirmation that the same time that new versions of oxwall are released will Softaculous be releasing them at the same time?

Bob,

don't know if you're aware of that or not, but Softaculuous is kind of centralized synchronous system. It arranges the deal with different kind of hosting providers for their users to use Softaculous to install the apps automatically. So all hosting providers are kind of agents for Softaculous.

I just checked two different hosting providers we have websites on and the version of Oxwall there is up-to-date.

See screenshot.

So, you will need to contact your hosting provider to figure why there's no actual version of the software within Softaculous auto installer.

What is your hosting provider by the way?

Not to be unfounded, I just installed the software via Softaculous and it is the latest (1.8.3) version.
