Do you have this action in the user roles in the admin panel enabled? 

add video is enable yes

Add new video brings up the add video form one can paste the embedded code in the top box add a title, description etc. Its what happens when press the add option.

there are actually 3 options in role permissions... does your permissions look like this

No the forms add button does not add the video script to the database. that's because the add button VARMEN1 points to /video/add/index/ is that  a programing problem?

I am waiting for the web host to reply. though I am sure it is disabled. I can add video manually to the data base and they can be viewed so its not a problem with videos not allowed to run on the server. I have them running in wordpress as well.

it is not disabled, see screenshot you have 403 forbideen error while adding video
