i had oxwall installed before on my website in a subdirectory but because of a problem with anouther area of my website i had to remove everything and start again. i have installed the new version on my site and now the css does not load how do i fix this issue.

is it a sub dir or a addon domain?  they might look the same in file manager but they are different structually. How did you set it up?

no its a subdirectory though now all that is showing is a 404 error message

i etracted the oxwall software in side a file called community which site inside the root directory

OK so your installed Oxwall inside a sub dir called community?  


So the url would be  www.maindomain.com/community right?

All you should have to do is change the url in the ow_includes/config.php file i think.  Have you tried that?

i have opened the config file in includes but i cant see were i change the url

yeah  change 


define('OW_URL_HOME', 'http://www.example.com/');


to 


define('OW_URL_HOME', 'http://www.example.com/community/');


dont forget the trailing / it must have one.

i have looked in the file and this was not in my file so i have added it to the top line of ow_includes/config.php file but now am getting a 404 error message

wooooo there... you should not have to add anything.... did you run the install?


i already know the answer to that, no you didnt did you :).. 


remove that line of code you added and run the install please...
