We have several groups across Britain that organise local events. Clearly, an event in Coventry probably will not be of any interest to someone living in London, so we need to be able to create events inside the groups.

James, there are a lot of topics that been discussed here for years.
Keep in mind that we cannot fullfill each and every individual projects needs.
We are small team we have our own roadmap, if we find something is of a big demand or urge, we do that, otherwise we stick to the internal plan for our software to prosper on the market.
Also you forgot that Oxwall is the open source platform, we do not make any income, you do not pay Oxwall foundation for anything, besides probably Oxwall attribution removal, which is why our small team cannot waste human resources or any other resources based on several request from users
If you need such a feature that much, hire a programmer who will implement it for you. Otherwise make a suggestion on uservoice.
