Can't extract plugin archive files | Forum

After trying to upload a plugin I received the "Can't extract plugin archive files" error.

From what I am told, this is related to the FTP configuration. I would love to double-check my settings but I do not see anywhere in the admin area for these settings.

I ran oxwall back in like 2012 and I really thought there was a page for these settings.... but my memory is not great.

Can anyone direct me on where I can find these setting either in the admin area or in the OW files, so I can verify the settings are correct?

thanks,

Justin

The site is new but the host is not. I have other sites on there. I never had issues with decompression yet.

I ended up just uploading the package to the server manually and doing it that way. It's not ideal but it works.

If you're on Mac OS X, there can be problems if you use the build-in ZIP-like software.

I found out when translating my site. Every time i compressed with build-in, the site gave me an error, but compressing with WinZip for Mac, it worked. No errors :)

It seems as though there was a permission issue with my folders. I think it's worked out now.

Thanks for the response!
