Oxwall's basic video plugin can crop video thumbnails only for the videos embedded from the following video sharing services:

http://www.youtube.com/
http://video.google.com/
http://www.metacafe.com/
http://www.dailymotion.com/
http://www.pornhub.com/
http://vids.myspace.com/
http://vimeo.com/
http://blip.tv/
http://www.guba.com/
http://www.bigtube.com/
http://www.tnaflix.com/

For all other videos, you will see a default video thumbnail with camera. But if you have a little bit of PHP experience, you can simply add thumbnail support for other video sharing services.

The videos I posted are from Youtube but I still see the camera thumbnail.

Can I point out a flaw...
I have a user who posted a facebook video and the thumb isnt showing.
You allow facebook connects but the video is NOT in the list but myspace is!!!

This is a bit ironic!
Can this be fixed? (or can we add our own thumbnails)

Hmm, is it possible to embed videos from facebook? Would you provide me with instructions how can this be done?

If you have a facebook profile and on your profile you enabled the video tab, in there when you select a video, there is an embed link.

I added in spaces int he code to stop it actually embedding... I am sure you can work it out...

NO PROBS. The vid worked, just no thumbnail!

Checked it. This is impossible, coz facebook don't allow to get video's thumb by any parameter from embed code. By this way video plugin crops thumbnails from video sharing resources.

can someone please more detailed point out where to make the changes for showing the thumbs
I am using clipbucked v2 for serving the videos to the oxwal.
Please show the path to and within the plugin where to change.
I was going the list p and down already :-)

We can't provide you with instructions on how to modify the code. Maybe posting a job at the market would be a better idea?

i see pornhub is in the list of supported sites for thumbnails, but my video's from pornhub don't show thumbnails , what goes wrong ?
