I've recently installed 1.8.4.

The server is a long time functioning linode ubuntu server.

It has all the needed php modules installed.

Still the captcha does not display.

Is there a problem with the core captcha on 1.8.4?

Can anyone tell me how to get the cause of the error?

I did try to open http://yoursitename.com/base/captcha does display captcha image.

Also the error_log does not display any error related to this.

I also followed https://wiki.oxwall.com/faq:captcha-troubleshooting but nothing helps.
