I was trying to install oxwall on my server, but i was told by my hosting company that their servers support gzip but does not support php zip. I'm not too familiar with either of these, so I was just wondering is their a way for me to modify this so that i could install the oxwall software with my current hosting company? i am able to install oxwall, but the plugins will not install, i'm assuming due to the php zip issue.

it is real pity that your hoster dont give the PHP-Parser the php-zip function for scripting use. (must be compile to the php-parser)
oxwall use this for all things how update/install etc.

Please make a phpinfo.php an look if is really not insert

the "gzip" function is for the compression of the HTTP-Transfer between server to client and not for the compression/decompression of files on the webspace.
