I have a working installation of 1.8.4 (build 10800). Everything seems to work ok, and I have added addtional plugins from the Admin panel and they all work except -
I have installed image slideshow using the Add Plugin option from admin panel and tho it appears installed and activated there is no sign of it. Where should I find its controls and have I missed something?

the image slideshow is a widget on the main page. Click the main page on the top menu of the site and then click customize this page, you will see the slideshow widget. If you do not see it then it will be listed at the top and you can drag it down where you want it. If you click the little gear icon you can edit the slideshow and add pics. Be sure when you are done that you also click the finished customizing link as well.
