Malformed HTML in custom HTML widget renders javascript inoperable. | Forum

Greetings,

A curious incident has been occurring with some frequency regarding the custom HTML widget on our users profiles.

This is with oxwall 1.8.4 Darkwall theme.

Basically, if the users forget (as they often do) to close their custom HTML tags properly in the custom HTML widget on their profile, every tag and every script below that is rendered inoperable once saved.

The problem here, it seems is that the javascripts necessary to allow the edit profile or remove widget options to function are, for some odd reason, placed at the very bottom of the page. The user's mis-coded custom HTML ends up corrupting the DOM such as to render all the functionality necessary to fix their mistake inoperable once saved.

If there a work around for this aside from having them create a new account?

Thanks in advance
