keep in mind google maps ain't free anymore. you get around 1k or so of free api requests and thats pretty much it bady. dont get me wrong here i aint against any of those location plugs they are awesome but they dont take into acount this fact and generate tons of requests.

The usefulness of the distance with another user is useful for websites that promote meetings. No one is looking for a partner hundreds or thousands of miles away.
In my experience, users do not put false information there.
Approximately yes, nobody puts the street and the number and in case of small towns a nearby city.
In order not to make so many queries it would be interesting to keep the distance between every two members in a table and better yet, round up groups of users that are close to each other and store only the distance between groups, I don't know if the ArtMedia plugin does this, the jk plugin doesn't. jk's does thousands of queries to Google Maps but I've never had any problems with this and Google has never told me anything.
It would be interesting to have a widget that tells you (in a random order) users who are online, who are close, who are not already friends, who are not blocked from each other and who have never had conversations. And if there is none, then don't show the plugin so as not to discourage with a sign of "There is no one on the web near you"

Busness travelers often use their current location rather then their home location most of the time. I guess many of them want to try to meet someone local in the city they are visiting on business, expecially if it is a regular travel destination.
