Microsoft’s cloud-based productivity suite that allows you to use Microsoft apps, create, communicate and collaborate.

Because it is cloud-based, it allows your files, emails and apps to be synced across multiple devices. It provides you with the tools to increase productivity and enables you to stay connected. These days in particular, when so many of us are working remotely, using cloud-based tools is critical for business continuity as it future-proofs your business and keeps your team productive.

Migrating to Microsoft 365 will allow your business to thrive as a Modern Workplace, with cloud-based communication and collaboration at its core.

Key Benefits of Microsoft 365

Remote Access

As Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based service, it can be accessed from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. With so many people working from home at the moment, this is particularly advantageous as employees can access apps and files from anywhere in the world on any device. Information such as emails and calendar are synced across your account so you can access them whether you’re on a pc, laptop, tablet or mobile.

Communication and Collaboration

Microsoft Teams and Outlook are fantastic tools for straightforward, centralised communication and collaboration. Teams lets you hold meetings and conference calls with employees no matter where in the world everyone is. Additionally, instant messaging and file sharing on Teams means that collaborating on a document or project has never been easier. Real-time co-authoring means you can see who has made what changes to a document. These features mean you can remain in constant and immediate contact with colleagues.

Predictable Cost

Microsoft 365 is a subscription service, so you are only paying for the number of licences you need on a monthly basis. This means that it is easy to budget for and is beneficial from a cash-flow perspective. Upgrades are included in the cost of your licences so there are no unexpected or additional costs.

Scalable and Flexible

Because Microsoft 365 is a subscription-based service, you are not tied to a certain number of licences. You can add users or remove surplus licences as your business grows, meaning you are never paying for more than what you need. You can also mix and match apps to customise solutions for different users or departments.

Business Continuity

Whilst it is still important to have a robust disaster recovery plan in place, because Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based service, your data is protected in case of hardware failure. For example, if there is a disaster such as fire, flood or theft at the office, your data is backed up in the cloud and so you can still access it from another device. No matter the situation, your business can continue to be productive.

You need to have your goals and objectives well defined beforehand and then plan the workshop. Otherwise, planning to make it a Turnkey business would be just a waste of time and money. It is better to be well prepared.
